Centrally located in the heart of Kirkland, the Kirkland Performance Center is the ideal venue for a truly memorable experience. Our 397 seat theatre is spacious, yet retains an intimate feel. The farthest seat is just 13 rows – 40 feet – from the stage; the steep rake of the house provides excellent sightlines throughout the theater. The seats are ample with extra leg room for comfortable seating. The acoustics in the theater are designed to work equally well for both music and the spoken word.

A treasured family tradition in the greater Puget Sound arts community since 1923, The Mountaineers Players continues to bring Puget Sound audiences quality outdoor theater under the conifer canopy of its Kitsap Forest Theater every spring and summer. One of the oldest nonprofit theater groups in the country, the Players troupe performs in the midst of the 460-acre Rhododendron Preserve near Bremerton. Giant fir trees surround terraced seating—carved from the side of a natural amphitheater— while verdant ferns serve as the “footlights” for the performance stage.(From their website)

Lake Washington High School Theatre has a long history of high quality stage productions. We focus on teaching theatre skills applicable to our students in community and professional theatre. But most importantly, the skills that students learn in theatre apply to nearly all other career choices. We promote learning opportunities in the performing arts that spark knowledge, self-confidence, leadership skills, critical thinking, empathy, understanding and acceptance of others, taking responsibility, public speaking, and inspire creative thinking, individual expression, and to contribute as a valuable member of a close-knit team. The family-oriented concerts are a great way to spend a summer evening and families are encouraged to come and enjoy the music, a movie, and some delicious food.

Tuesdays June - Aug. From their website: The market runs every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the fountain in front of Lakewood City Hall. It’s also the perfect stop for lunch during the work week to try culinary treats from local food trucks and vendors. There will also be live entertainment each week and activities for kids.

Built in 1915, the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute is an historic landmark in the historic Central Area of Seattle. Designed by B. Marcus Priteca, and formerly the Jewish Synagogue of Chevra Biku Cholim, the building became a community center and part of the City of Seattle's facilities in 1972. It underwent extensive renovations in 2011 to preserve its architectural character and update the facilities. It is now a community facility that may be rented for events and community programs. LHPAI partners with the new non-profit LANGSTON to continue being a center for African American arts and culture in Seattle. It is also home to the Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas and The Historic Central Area Arts and Cultural District.
